The Hepatitis B vaccine is in the autism and scientific community news this month due to a recent study. Unfortunately, the main stream media will most certainly not cover the controversial study and therefore the general public will probably never learn about the incredibly damning results. An abstract of this study was recently printed in the respected journal; Annals of Epidemiology and the study itself was printed in Toxicology & Environmental Chemistry. The authors; Carolyn Gallagher and Melody Goodman of the graduate program in public health, Stony Brook University Medical Center, were investigating the association between vaccination with the Hepatitis B triple series vaccine prior to the year 2000 and developmental disability in children aged 1-9 years. The information gathered for the study relied on parental reports that stated that their children were receiving special education services for their children due to a developmental disability.
The odds of receiving special education services were approximately 9 times greater for boys vaccinated with Hep B than for those unvaccinated after adjusting for confounders. That means that this study found significant evidence to suggest that boys in the United States who were vaccinated with the Hep B vaccine containing Thimerosal (a preservative constituting 49.6% mercury still found in vaccines to this day) were more susceptible to developmental disability that were unvaccinated boys.
Now, you would think that the government would become very concerned with the welfare of our children and would take the obvious approach that many of us would take were we in the government’s position. Namely, we would expect them to quickly send HHS or CDC personnel to the author’s labs and request their data for further study. Perhaps even place a moratorium on the vaccine which is unnecessary for newborns due to the fact that it is a sexually contracted disease? Neither of these things however, happened.
What was the government’s apparent response? Due to the information gathered from the September 15, 2009 edition of the NY Post, the U.S. Attorney’s office in Buffalo NY has issued a subpoena for the records from the SUNY Foundation as a part of an investigation into whether SUNY research institutions (to include the one responsible for this study) directed grants from the NIH to projects not covered by their funding. This probe is being conducted with the help of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Now pardon me for being a bit skeptical about the possible motives for this probe, but I find it hard to believe that this would be for any other reason than to discredit and marginalize this particular damning study. What better way to make this story go away than to bring charges of this sort to the forefront? Given the track record of HHS in the past, there is little doubt in this reporters mind that this is exactly their intention. Recently, a Manitoba Canada study showed that by simply delaying the DTP vaccine by a period of a few short months, the asthma rate in children was reduced by 54%. The government’s response to this study wasn’t quite so dramatic yet nothing further has come of this study either. This leads me to believe that our government will do anything to protect the status quo of a dangerous and unconstitutional vaccine campaign that is destroying our children’s health.
There can be no other answer given the evidence.
